I am currently enrolled in the Portland State University Graduate Teacher Education Program to become a high school chemistry teacher. I have tutored chemistry and math at the college level, have taught high school as student teacher, have done research in a chemistry laboratory, and have worked as a technician in a medical laboratory. My academic background in the philosophy, history and literacy of science enables me to put the sometimes abstract content of science and math classes into easier to understand plain concrete english. My experiences and education at cutting-edge schools gives me a wide breadth of knowledge in the life and physical sciences and in mathematics.
