Learn More About Nathan's Experience:

Russian I graduated from the Russian language course at the Defense Language Institute in Monterrey, CA with a 3/3/3 (which is the highest proficiency for a non-native speaker under the US government's testing battery). I attended additional academic study at the George C. Marshall Center in Garmisch, Germany to improve language proficiency under Russian instructors. I received a Master of Arts from Stanford University in Russian, East European and Eurasian Studies, including courses in Russian poetry. I have traveled extensively throughout the former Soviet Union and have used Russian frequently and fluently throughout the past ten years. I have received commendations for being Instructor of the Year in 2007 at the Reserve Joint Intelligence Traiing Facility, MacDill AFB, Florida (course was on Central Asia and not in Russian, but indicative of my qualifications as an instructor).
