Ms. Bailey began studying music at the University of Central Arkansas in 2003. She soon after joined the UCA Opera Workship where she performed such roles as La Ciesca in "Gianni Schicchi" by Giacomo Puccini, Fanny in "The Lantern Wedding" by Jaqvues Offenbach, as well as Laetitia in Gian Carlo Menotti's 20th century opera "The Old Maid and the Thief." She has also performed in six opera scenes programs featuring scenes from "The Magic Flute," "Faust," "La Traviata," "The Bartered Bride," "La Boheme," and "The Merry Widow." In the summer of 2006, she was cast as Sally Brown in the Conway Dinner Theatre's production of the Braodway hit "You're A Good Man, Charlie Brown." In 2006 and 2007, she was a semi-finalist in the Arkansas State and Regional NATS competitions. In 2007, she also performed in a masterclass conducted by Heidi Grant Murphy of the Metropolitan Opera. Ms. bailey was the winner of the 2007 UCA Concerto Competition and performed her winning selections as a guest soloist with the Conway Symphony Orchestra in Arkansas. During the Christmas season of 2007, she was also chosen to travel to China to represent UCA as a guest soloist with the Fujian Symphony Orchestra in Fuzhou.
In January of 2008, Ms. Bailey became the Assistant Director of the Central Arkansas Children's Choir and also began teaching private voice lessons for beginning and intermediate singers.
Upon graduating from the University of Central Arkansas with a Bachelor degree in Music Education, Ms. Bailey worked with the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre in the role of Frau Zeller in the 2008 summer production of "The Sound of Music." |

I have a Bachelor degree in Music Education. As a part of that degree, I took courses in Vocal Pedagogy, Choral Methods, and German and also completed a semester of student internship teaching grades 7-12. I have also taught my own private students in my hometown of Conway, Arkansas. My own performance experience is extensive. As a part of my university's Opera Workshop, I performed in 4 operas, 2 of which were leading roles, and 6 opera scenes programs. I have worked professionally with the Conway Dinner Theater and the Arkansas Shakespeare Theatre. I have been a guest soloist with the Conway Symphony Orchestra and traveled abroad as a featured soloist with the Fujian Symphony Orchestra in China.
