Russian Russian is my native language. I am comfortable working with adult students from beginners to advanced learners. I believe that studying a foreign language should not be boring and I do my best to make my lessons interesting. I was born and grew up in St. Petersburg, one of the largest cultural centers in Europe. My Bachelor degree is in Computer Sciences. It happened so that after being many years in the IT industry in Russia and later in Australia I started to work as a freelancer when I moved to the US in 2001. Bridging the gap between different cultures always fascinated me. This led to my second career as a translator and a tutor. My formal education in this area includes a Diploma in Translation from City University, London, and a Certificate in Teaching Russian as a foreign language from Pushkin Institute, Moscow. Russian is the language that I speak at home. I regularly watch Russian TV and read news on the Internet. My work as a translator also helps me to keep my Russian current. I specialize in technical, business and medical translations.
