I will be a Senior at Seattle Pacific University next fall (fall 2008). I am a Communications major with Elementary Education. I desire to teach anywhere from Kindergarten to 2nd grade. Although, I have done tutoring with 3rd grade before. I observed and volunteered in a 1st grade class at the beginning of this school year. I love working with younger students, but wouldn't mind working with upper elementary as well. I am willing to help elementary students with any subject whether it be reading skills, vocabulary, math (though it is not my best subject I can still be of some help), or even just general homework help. |

I am currently an Elementary Education student, about to enter into my senior year. I will be doing my student teaching next winter and spring quarters. Spring 2007 I did volunteer tutoring with a 3rd grade student at a local elementary school as a service learning project for school. Last summer I participated in a project for school called September Experience, where I job shadowed a first grade teacher for two weeks. She allowed me to help in the classroom with the students and to observe. I have been around elementary school students all of my life and truly enjoy teaching and simply being around them.

I played soccer all the way from the time I was 5 until I was 18. I played on a club soccer team until I was 11 and then I switched to a select soccer club (a premier soccer league). I played high school soccer through my junior year of high school. I have played in indoor soccer teams as well. I have been around soccer my entire life.
