I have a Bachelor in Arts degree in Psychology from Seattle University. I have been working with children of all ages for the past 12 years. Currently, I am a substitute Teaching
Assistant for the Snoqualmie Valley School District. I have experience in assisting students, individually or in small groups with lesson assignments. I have assisted them in subjects such as writing, math, spelling, and reading. I have also assisted with Special Needs children in their school work and other activities.
My teaching style is flexible and varies from student to student. I accommodate my style to the specific needs of each child as I understand that each child learns differently.
Initially, it is my job to get to know the child and understand their needs. I believe all children can learn, and tutoring allows me to attend to their needs 100%. I am there to motivate, encourage, build self confidence, and help them reach their full potential. I hope to give students creative and fun tools to use that will help them succeed in and out of the classroom.
