I currently teach it to my piano students using Alfred's Basic Ear-Training Course. I can teach a beginner through a later intermediate in ear-training. general music I've studied and performed music since I was 9 years old. I've studied piano, clarinet, bassoon, voice, guitar, music theory, music history, ear-training, sight-singing, and conducting. I am certainly qualified to teach someone in the general music field. piano I started piano when I was 9 years old, and studied primarily with former Russian concert pianist Sergei Arzamanov, up to a very advanced level. I performed many recitals, competed in concerto competitions, and attended piano summer festivals. While I ultimately chose to go to college for clarinet performance, I have continued to play piano. I currently teach about 13 students piano, from age 4-45. sight singing I started learning sight-singing at the Manhattan School of Music preparatory program in high-school. I continued studying sight-singing, or solfege, beyond the required curriculum at New England Conservatory to Advanced Solfege. I am qualified to teach beginner through late intermediate.
