swimming I practically grew up in the water. I have taken numerous swimming classes and taught others how to swim on mission trips. In boy scouts I was one of the youngest to recieve my swimming merit badge. Which entailed basic rescue techniques, retrieving items from the bottom of a lake, swimming 200yd within a specified time limit as well as treading water for an extended period of time using just my legs. I am not a certified lifeguard however I am perfectly capable of passing the test and will get certified if need be. I have friends who are lifeguards and have been meaning to get my certification from the local YMCA for future lifeguarding job opportunities as well as swim instruction.
