flash Flash is something I learned to incorporate into my web designs to provide a more exciting web experience. The school that I designed a site for has flash interaction in it's tutoring section. They tutor in math, reading, comprehension and language skills. All of these pages have flash incorporated to hold the viewers interest to learn. Once this school opens up to older students, I hope to teach the classes and have them maintain the sites as part of their curriculum. html I have been utilizing computer programs for many years and as I have performed freelance work in graphics and music, the next natural progression was in how to incorporate these mutimedia aspects into the web. It was natural for me to learn and utilize the languages of HTML and XHTML. I have now become proficient in web writing and have designed a new website for a charter school in Clearwater Fl. that I am hoping to have published before the start of the new school year. photography I have been involved with photography since being grade school age. I still have my original 110 camera to hand down to my son. In High school and in college, I took every photography class available to me. In fact, most of my senior year was spent in the darkroom. Once I graduated, I created my own darkroom in my home. I learned all aspects of black and white film and print development. Color is still not something I am familiar with. I do however find that black and white is still the more artistic of the medium in my opinion and is much more able to be manipulated through development or by other artistic means such as oil tinting. photoshop I have been in love with photography most of my life as I got my first camera at age 5. In high school, I took every photography course available and spent most of my senior year in the dark room. In college I again took avery photography course available to take. As I had the interest in photography and a background in graphic design and technology Adobe Photoshop was a natural progression of print technology and manipulation. I have learned the complete collegiate syllabus in Photoshop from the Classroom in a book. I have further utilized this program to manipulate and publish photos for a charter school in Florida as part of their monthly newsletters. Please send me what materials I would need to become certified or allow me to send you photographs online. powerpoint When I was working in retail, I had the opportunity to learn powerpoint. I created training programs with powerpoint for one company that I worked for and created multimedia persentations for store meetings at another company I worked for. I find the ability to combine the text, music and animation quite invigorating to create powerful presentations that hold the viewers attention. web design I have learned html and xhtml to create web sites. I have designed a web site for a charter school in Florida and hope to have it published prior to the start of the new school year. This is in conjunction with the degree in Graphic Design that I hold and the side business that I have to do graphic work on contract. I do illustration, web design, photography and other graphic works.
