Do you hate MATH? I can help eliminate your frustrations. I graduated with B.S. Mathematics, Civil Engineering, and Sanitary engineering degrees. In addition, I completed 21 years active duty in the U.S. Navy. I have served as a math tutor as part time for Middle and High School as well as College students in the areas of Pre-Algebra, Algebra I & II, Geometry, Trigonometry, College Algebra, and Pre-Calculus.
As an independent math tutor, I believe that in order to teach mathematics, one has to be familiar with the student’s level of learning so that the student is able to learn from the tutor, to understand the mathematical concepts and not simply memorize them. In addition to developing a positive relationship with the student, I believe that parent involvement and support is a major part of the learning process, so I welcome parents input.
With many years of professional and military experience, I can stimulate a learning environment that encourages students to trust their own opinions while fostering confidence in order for them to realize their full potential.
