Hi! I am a friendly individual who loves to help others. I am outgoing, enthusiastic, and a hard worker. I try to make learning fun! I graduated from UC Riverside in '07 with a BA in Liberal Studies and a minor in Education. I've taken the CBEST (CA Basic Educational Skills Test), as well as the CSET Multiple Subjects (CA Subjects Examinations for Teachers). I am applying to grad school next year for my Teaching Credential and Masters. I've been a tutor/instructor for over 2 years: one-on-one sessions at centers and in-homes, and after school programs with a class ratio of 16 to 1. I have been tutoring a variety of students from grades K-11th from Los Angeles County, Inland Empire, and the OC. I've tutored Phonics, Reading Comprehension, and Mathematics. My favorite subject is Math! I like to write notes, study with flashcards, and enjoy coming up with funny/cool phrases to help students memorize formulas. My students feel very comfortable around me because not only am I a coach/teacher/tutor, but also a friend you can count on. I never want any of my students to feel that they can't do something. I love all kinds of music, and I enjoy singing, dancing, and bowling. |
