Learn More About Jeanne's Experience:

elementary (k-6th) I am certified in 1st-6th grades, and currently work with K-6. Much of my work with language students involves providing them extra help with classroom work they bring to my room. I've seen and worked with just about every subject at every level. In addition, I taught high school special education for 5 years, and many of my students were developmentally at the elementary level. phonics I have just finished all coursework for my Master's and Certification in Special Reading. This is a K-12th grade program, so I've had lots of class work on basic reading instruction such as phonics. In addition, I work with letter/sound correspondence daily with my speech and language students in grades K-6. special needs I taught high school cross-categorical special education for 5 years, and currently teach elementary level students who are diagnosed with speech and/or language impairments. Many of these students have other special needs, ranging from specific learning disabilities to developmental delays. I am currently in-training to be my district's "In-District Autism Consultant" through Project ACCESS in Springfield. Autism is an area of special interest for me; I therefore work with every student diagnosed with educational autism in my district.
