chess I am in 11th grade started the chess club at our school. As a member/leader of the club, I have taught beginners in the club how to play and played games with each piece as they learned it. I have patience and will have fun teaching chess. I know all the basic moves along with special moves including en passant and castling. I average at least a 1200 rating in Yahoo! Chess online. I am also one of the best in our chess club at West Forysth High School. general computer I am very good with computers and are always around them the majority of the time in the day. I built all the computers we have in our home (4) from parts we ordered online since about 5 years ago. I also set up all the operating systems and know the importance of the BIOS and how to change settings within it. (Changing boot order, start up drive, etc.) I also know how to install software on many operating systems including Windows 2000, XP, Vista and even Mac OS X. They are all very similar for this task. I also know how to set up static/DHCP IP addresses for each computer, setting up wireless networks, and setting up internet access with PPPoE or DHCP ISPs even on a router. I am also fairly good with trouble shooting peripherals that do not work because of driver problems, inadequate power on a USB hub, etc. I have helped many of my neighbors with their computer problems ranging from setting up their new printer with proper drivers to setting up a wireless router for use with Xbox Live (online gaming service). I also know how to upgrade hardware including graphics cards, motherboards, etc. and putting them in the appropriate places. I know when you need an ATX power cord to the graphics card and if you need a 24/20 pin converter for the motherboard power connecting to the power supply. I also know how much power is recommended for certain hardware. Services I can do include: Printers,Scanners, and Peripheral Installations with Drivers. Software Installations Hardware Upgrades (Graphics Cards, Processors, Motherboards, Memory, Hard Drives, etc.) Network Set Ups (Wireless Networks) I can also give basic computer lessons - such as microsoft office, internet, how to install an operating system, the basics of the computer etc.
