About Jody:

Greetings! I am a 2005 Ph.D. graduate from Penn State University. I have degrees in Geology and Soil Science, and my background is strong in computer science and math. My wife and I relocated to Bakersfield from Houston, TX in early 2008. In Houston, I worked for two different environmental consulting firms, so I also have "real-world" experience. Of course, in graduate school I gained teaching experience, serving as a teaching assistant (TA) for one Geology course and one Soil Science course. I am now ready to return to teaching, and as this is a part-time job for me I welcome all of your inquiries. If you need help with any combination of science/math, I am confident that I can get you back on track. I excel at one-on-one instruction and have an easy going teaching style.
