Hi I am Emily. I have worked in the Wichita Public Schools for 3 years as a para professional. I am currently going to school to earn my degrees in Elementary and special education. I graduated from Bishop Carroll high school. I also graduated with an associates at Cowley County Community College. I am currently attending Wichita State University.
As a para professional, I work with students one on one, small groups, and class within a class. It comes natural to me to work with a diverse group of learners. I break down each lesson as much as I can, to make sure that everyone is on the same page. |

I have tutored students for 3 years during the summer. I have also work as a para professional at an elementary school. I work with students from grades 2nd-4th. I have experience doing one on one, small groups, and class within a class. I love teaching and it comes natural to me to break down each lesson to ensure the students success.

special needs

This is my 3rd year working with children with special needs. I have volunteered at Greiffenstein Special Education Center, which is a behavioral based school. I am currently working at an elementary school in the Interrelated classroom. There I work with students with mild MR and learning disabilities. I know how to better students tracking, which increases their reading level. I am familiar with reading mastery, triumphs (reading series), investigations (math),phonics, reading comprehension activities, ect. I'm patient with children with ADHD and find it easy to decrease the amount of distractions. I am currently going to school to finish my degree in special education.
