ear training I have been singing by ear, as well as by sight for my entire life. my first recital was given at age 4, before I could read. I studied ear training in college for four years. I have also trained my children and fellow choir members to sing by ear. My sight-singing and ear training are my strongest assets. elementary (k-6th) I am currently homeschooling my 2 children. In my opinion children learn better when the learning is fun! I enjoy the challenge of turning a problem on its head and accomplishing a goal. phonics I have 2 children (PreK and K) who I have taught to read using phonics. Both children are at least one grade level above their expected range. sight singing Reading music is as necessary for a vocalist as it is for an instrumentalist. I can show you how to sing by sight in no time. voice (music) There is more to singing than getting the notes correct. I have been singing since I could talk. My degree in vocal performance and my experience in various choirs have honed my craft. Great music comes from the heart, you simply have to use the right method to bring it out.
