Hi, my name is Grant, and I am 26 years old. I have a BS degree in Biopsychology from UCSB, and am almost finished with my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. When finished with my degree, I will apply for licensure as a Clinical Psychologist.
In high school I finished with a GPA of 4.84 and took several AP courses including AP English, AP History, and AP Calculus, all of which I passed. I used to tutor in geometry and algebra while at UCSB, but find that writing is more my strength as I have to complete many graduate level papers per semester and do not do much math at present. I have always had exceptional study skills and have helped several peers develop these beneficial skills as well.
I used to work at Devereux, Santa Barbara with young children with Autism, and I am currently employed by the Mental Health Association of Santa Barbara where I work with adult clients with Schizophrenia. I have always been a patient individual and these jobs have only honed that skill.
I played football, basketball, and baseball at the varsity level while in high school, and was all-state in baseball and all-county in football. I coached varsity football, as an assistant, for three years after graduating high school, and have volunteered as a freshman baseball coach. My dad was a coach at the varsity level in basketball so I have proficient knowledge of the game and its inner workings. I am also a music producer/engineer with my own studio and production company. I began in music as a songwriter and continue to write songs in all genres.
I do not have one set teaching style as I feel each student requires unique assessment as to what may work. I am very creative and feel confident that I could help any prospective learner.
