basketball During high school, I played basketball all 4 years and then went on to play at Oxnard College for one year. In 1999-2000, I coached a youth team, ages 9-10, for the Police Activities League and we went undefeated. After that season, I gave private lessons to one of the kids for about 6 months. I have a great understanding of the game. business I obtained my B.S. in Business Administration and understand the dynamics of a company. Besides being able to understand the budgeting and marketing of a business, I have knowledge on how to appy economics to the equation. It plays a vital part in a business being successful. Also, in 2002, I was a store manager and the sales for our store increased by 102% and during that year, I really understood the entire aspects of business from hiring to promoting new product. Business has a lot of different areas and it is important people notice it. GED I graduated high school in the top 10% of my class and had a 3.5 GPA. I have gone on and taken advanced math, reading, and writing classes throughout college to enhance my knowledge and skill. I also like to break down the GED material so it is easier for others to understand. general computer For the past 11 years, I have been using Microsoft Word. While in college, I also took a couple of computer courses for Powerpoint and Excel. I am more comfortable with Powerpoint and have done a variety of projects using graphics. I am also very proficient in researching on the internet. I have learned that putting a * or parentheses can really affect what you find. Overall, I am very knowledgeable with the computer. proofreading Throughout college, I have repeatedly proofread my work as well as fellow students' work. I now have a ritual when it comes to proofreading. I read through the material once looking for sentences that don't make sense or check the flow of the paper. The next time I read through it, I look for grammer errors and during the third reading, I look for misspellings. This allows me to concentrate on all aspects but at different times. softball I have played softball since I was 8 years old. I played fastpitch for 2 years during high school. Since then, I play slow pitch in recreational leagues or on teams for work. I am a huge fan.
