About Julia:

About me: I'm a former Pre-K to 12th grade substitute teacher who is about to start on my doctorate in clinical psychology. I already hold two B.A.s in psychology and Spanish and my M.S. in psychology. What I can help you with: I am willing to help out with elementary school & middle school (all subjects); high school English, general science, and social studies; introductory to intermediate Spanish; and beginning clarinet/alto saxophone lessons. I can help out with psychology tutoring for almost any age! I am also able to teach basic computer skills such as using the internet and Microsoft Word.

I have been playing clarinet since 1993. In high school, I was a member of the concert band, symphonic band, and marching band. In college, I was a member of the "Pride of West Virginia", West Virginia University's marching band.

elementary (k-6th)

I am the daughter of a 3rd grade teacher and have spent many years volunteering in her classroom. Also, I spent two years substituting Pre-K through high school (with West Virginia certification).

general computer

I have been using a computer since the age of three (1985). I am well-experienced in general usage, the internet, and Microsoft Office.

powerpoint

I have been using PowerPoint for presentations (both school and work) since 1998! I can help you with PowerPoint for every Microsoft Office package since Office '97.

saxophone

I have been playing saxophone since 1995. In junior high, I played the tenor saxophone in my school's jazz band. In college, I was in my school's marching band.
