Hello, my name is Adam, I'm a 27-year old Minnesota native. I like to create unique and interesting lessons for students based upon their current level of mastery and their specific learning goals. I also believe in measuring progress through regular testing, so that students can "see" and track their progress on their way to achieving their goals.
I recently completed significant coursework towards a M.A. of Environmental Management and before that I earned my B.A. of Psychology from the University of Minnesota where I also studied Chinese, Statistics, and did a lot of writing--from research and literature reviews, to creative writing and philosophical arguments. I am a hard-worker and an effective worker, completing my B.A. degree in only 3 academic years, while still maintaining a 3.8 G.P.A. and making the Dean's List in 6 out of 7 semesters. I have more than 10 years of designing personal and extracurricular websites and have been using graphic design software for just as long in my creative hobbies of photography, graphic design, and illustration. My last occupation was as an ESL Academic Director for Chicago International English Institute in Shenyang, China. In addition to developing lessons for and teaching English to students ranging from 5 to 45, I also privately tutored two bright Korean students aged 11 and 13.
