Hello! I recently graduated with honors from Xavier University in New Orleans. I started tutoring several years ago because I enjoy teaching and have found it to be extremely rewarding. During high school, I tutored peers as a member of the National Honor Society and worked as a tutor at a middle school, tutoring in the areas of science, history, reading, writing, basic math, and algebra. At Xavier, I tutored children from a community-based program in reading and math. I also tutored an elementary school student in math, science, history, and writing as a Big Sister of the Big Brothers/ Big Sisters of Southern Louisiana Program. I will be going to medical school this fall, and I hope to work as a tutor now and after I matriculate. I enjoy tutoring patiently in a quiet environment using visual aids, textbooks, and guides amongst other resources. I'm excited about resuming my tutoring career and look forward to hearing from you! |
