About
Alvin: |
|
I not only excel in these subjects but also have a great passion for them. All my life I have been studying and engaging in these activities and love doing them for leisure as well as competition. I would be greatly honored and joyed to share my wisdom in these areas to anyone who is willing to learn.
I demonstrate great passion to the subject i like to learn as well as towards my student, to make sure they not only learn, but master the subject.
I would want them to feel the excitement and joy I get out of it as well.
I graduated from William Howard Taft High school in 2006 located on the northside of Chicago with high honors, and at the top of my class, and proceed to pursue a degree in Biomedical engineering at the University of Illinois at Chicago. Ive in math since 8th grade, and would love to get the experience again. |

I have been born and raised Christian my entire life, accepted Christ when I was 13, and from there I really dove into the bible and the teachings of Christianity. I developed a passion for it, and its teachings influenced the way I live my life. I find it very interesting myself, and continue to learn everyday, as I talk to fellow Christians, counsel those who want to learn, and participate in youth group activities in church and school. I get great joy in sharing the word with others as it helps me not only spread the word as I feel I’m commissioned to do, but also helps me to understand things better myself. I have experienced Christianity at all levels, including traditional and contemporary, and I believe this is what makes me very well rounded and perfect for this job. I was even considering becoming a youth pastor in the future when I was younger, and still have dreams and aspirations of things I would like to do for my faith in the future.
I’m very patient and amiable as a teacher, as I love answering questions and exploring questions in depth. This allows me to experience the various perspectives people may have, and thus I learn how to instruct through different examples and view. Teaching bible studies is my favorite non-athletic leisure activity, and I look for opportunities to do so whenever I can. I have been teaching and counseling people of all ages, from toddlers, to teenagers, to young adults, to even the elderly since I was 15 years old. I look forward to meeting you and helping you understand the teachings of the Bible, and showing you exactly what makes them what they are made out to be.
