About Alma:

I have 17 years of teaching experience with a doctorate degree in Educational Administration. I taught in the Philippines (my country of origin) for 10 years, 7 years in elementary both public and private schools, and 3 years in college as a Supervising Instructor for student teachers. I was recruited from the Philippines to teach elementary students in one of the biggest school districts in Houston in 2001. Currently, I am working as a PreK ESL teacher, as a private tutor and as an Adjunct Instructor of Adult ESL in a community college since summer 2006.My specialization is English grammar and writing, and elementary Math. I also enjoy teaching proper pronunciation and intonation to non or limited English speakers. I also once worked with the Kumon company. As an educator, I am dedicated to my work and committed to my students of all ages. I value my integrity and quality of instruction is my priority!
