About Eric:

I have four years' experience tutoring students from age 6 to 66. Much of my experience is in high school and college level math courses, through calculus and probability/statstics. I've also done tutoring for the SAT, the GRE, even military aptitude tests--basically anything that requires math knowledge and understanding. I have a double bachelor's degree in math and computer science from the University of Maryland, where I graduated #1 in my class in math. I try to build a rapport with the student which helps them feel relaxed and comfortable and allows me to easier understand how they learn and approach problems. Then I can tailor my tutoring methods to the student's individual personality and learning style. I look forward to helping you.

I have spent the last four years as a professional poker player. Through just poker I've supported myself completely, allowing myself to move to Las Vegas, pay off my car in full, buy a house and travel extensively. I've played both limit and no-limit texas hold'em for considerable profit at high limits, where people winning or losing over $10,000 is not uncommon. Poker is a complex game that takes considerable patience, discipline, emotional control and experience, as well as a good understanding of probability and statistics. I've mastered all these aspects and am very ready to help other players, whether serious or casual, take their game to another level.
