From 1969-1979 at the age of 16 I started helping my father to teach young children at his private school in Sierra leone. At the early stage of the school all subjects were taught in arabic. My father( May he rest in peace)who was a professor from Azhar University Cairo, Egypt use to teach me in turn I teach the lower level students. I was going through High School during the morning shift and teach in the afternoon shift. It was very hectic, and I learnt a lot through those from my father, from my High school teachers and through trial and error. Later on, we started teaching English and on occasions French. I used to translate some books such the georgrahy of Sierra leone to arabic and teach our high School students. Before I left Sierra leone in 1979 on a scholarship to study in Saudi Arabia ther were 450 (four hundred and fifty students) at the school; and I was co manager and teacher all those years. When I started taking some teaching courses such child development teaching methodologies curiculum development I then realize how much I have covered in practical terms.
