About Danielle:

During the past five years, I have gained valuable experience tutoring students from various different backgrounds and levels of mastery in English and reading. I have tutored students in third through fifth grade and students in special education classrooms. I also have experience working with elementary and middle school students with ADD and ADHD, and I have developed strategies for these students which make learning and retaining information more manageable and enjoyable. In December 2007, I graduated cum laude from Philadelphia Biblical University with degrees in secondary English education and Bible. While in college, I worked in and managed the campus writing lab. This included tutoring undergraduate students in grammar, writing, and proofreading. I currently hold ACSI certification in English and Bible and I have met the requirements for Pennsylvania Instructional I certification in English. I am also eligible for Connecticut certification. My education training has equipped me with the tools necessary to plan engaging, effective lessons and strategies which are catered to individuals' learning needs and have been proven to engender positive attitudes toward learning. I believe that one-on-one instruction is the most effective method of education. I prefer tutoring over classroom instruction because of the level of individualized attention available to the student. It is my desire to see students succeed and achieve their full academic potential, and I will work to the best of my ability to ensure positive results.
