Bonjour!

I live in downtown San Francisco with my husband and two cats. In May 2008, I graduated from San Francisco State University with a Master's Degree in French.

I began studying French in high school and got straight A's throughout. I also received a score of 5 on the High School AP French exam.

After obtaining a BA in French from Sonoma State University, I spent a year in Paris as an English teacher. I also gave private English lessons to people of varying native languages, including French, Russian, and Chinese, and enjoy working one-on-one with students. In France, I gained a passion for teaching language and have always enjoyed helping others learn what I have learned myself.

  I have found that helping others learn and perfect their English to be very enjoyable. Having taught English in France and Nicaragua to many different levels and backgrounds, I find it is easiest to first assess a student's current level of English, then plan a lesson plan which is tailored specifically to help them achieve their goals. I also believe learning English is fun and have a good time while teaching.
