About Kathryn:

I am very interested in proofreading students' writing, as well as helping them to find their voice in their own unique writing style. I pride myself on my ability to help students' writing and reading skills flourish. My field of study at West Chester University was English along with concentrations in journalism and gender studies. As a member of The Quad's editorial staff, I learned how to write staff editorials as well as news and feature articles. I furthered my writing skills as an intern at WCU's Office of Public Relations and authored a number of press releases. As a Journal Manager at Cadmus Professional Communications, copy editing was an important element of my ongoing duties. I strived to meet the standards of my client, Elsevier, as I oversaw the production of six Elsevier medical journals. I worked to achieve excellence in editing on a daily basis as I communicated with freelance Copy Editors who assisted me in maintaining accuracy in the proofreading of each article. It was imperative that I be detail-oriented in this position as I was ultimately the person responsible for compiling journals worth praising. My present position as an Editor at Wyeth Nutrition allows me to delve into a more detailed workload. While complying with Wyeth Marketing guidelines, I edit articles from Wyeth’s international offices that are featured on Wyeth’s intranet. I work with multiple drafts of Medical and Promotional Product Claims to ensure accurate updates and that AMA style is met.
