About Chantale:

One of the most important factors of a good tutoring session is creating an atmosphere of success. I have been tutoring for over nine years and I’ve been teaching at CSU, Fresno for two years. I am an outgoing person with an approachable demeanor who attempts to make each of my students feel comfortable. Since one of the overall goals of a tutoring session is for the student to walk away with a better understanding then when they initially sought help, my ability to communicate effectively is one of the most important elements of each session. I will engage students in conversations about the tutoring subject in order to ensure that they understand, while attempting to relieve any learning anxieties. I will also ask for feedback from the students on how my tutoring strategy worked for them, since certain teaching strategies work in different ways for different people, and I will change my tutoring strategy, if needed, so that the student can get the maximum benefit from each session.
