Hello Parents, Kids, Guys and Gals,
I would first like to say nice to meet you and my name is Lamar. A little about me, I am originally from Wisconsin and went to school at the University of Minnesota Twin Cities. There I studied and majored in Japanese and Art History. I have been studying Japanese since I was 13 years old and have lived in Japan for a number of years going to school and working at Japanese companies. While in Japan I also had the opportunity to teach Japanese kids and Adults English at a language school. It was a ton of fun and my classes were always exciting. My students passed all their English exams while I was their teacher. I also have experience as a private teacher/tutor to many other children and adults in Japan who wanted to increase their English. I have a strong reputation as being kind, intelligent and understanding to my students needs. Learning Japanese is by no means easy. It takes hard work and dedication. But I believe if you can make a subject fun, the learning process is much easier. I have an organically structured teaching environment. I am laid back but I expect performance from my students. Class is fun and I will make it great but one has to understand, they are there to learn and better their own skills, not horse around the entire time.
On to Golf, as a sport it is my one true love. I have been golfing since I was little and played on the varsity level in high school and amateur tournament level. I take golf seriously and believe I can improve anyone's game. I have had great coaches, teachers and professionals helping me tune my game into a pin seeking machine. I can do the same for you. Golf, in my opinion is one of the hardest games out there. They say that it is 30% physical and 70% mental. Often you are your own worst player. The key to overcoming this game is to understand how to play it mentally. The physics of the perfect swing is not a walk in the park to master but trust me the swing is the easy part. Let me help you develop all aspects of your game while having a great time doing it. Do not get discouraged with golf. It truly is one of the best sports out there. While living in Japan I had my own private golf clinic where I would help students focus on specific aspects of their game or the entire game as a whole; from the swing, to rules, to putting and the short game, to golf etiquette. I have helped many people shave strokes of their score wouldn’t you like to as well?
