Teaching Style:
My teaching method incorporates Decartes' interdisciplinary view with the Socratic question and answer approach. More over, the students' learning style is what really dictates my lesson plan.
Whether the student learns visually, orally, through writing, or a combination of methods, my goal is to form my tutoring plan to his or her specific learning strengths and needs.
Tutoring Experience:
Guest Lecturer
Naugatuck Valley Community College, Waterbury, CT.
I taught sentence structure and composition using William Burroughs' Cut-up writing method and the Dadaist word-bag approach for two sections of English 98.
NOTE: The English 98 students were learning how to writer coherent paragraphs. My exercises helped them actively develop logical sorting strategies, and prioritize sentence and word order.
