Hello!
My name is Jeri, and I am 23 years old. I am currently going to school to be an elementary teacher and will be graduating this May with a bachelors degree! Right now I am working with 1st grade students and they are so much fun! I have experience with all grade levels and can help in almost any area of K-6 education.
I really enjoy teaching so I try to make learning just as enjoyable for my students. I will incorporate games and lots of hands-on-activities in my lessons whenever possible. I look forward to working with you! :) |

I have been working towards an elementary education degree for the past four years. Through my educational experience I have had classes from all areas of elementary education, including science, math, social studies, reading, and language arts.
In addition to my coursework I have over two years of experience in the elementary classroom. This experience includes student teaching (1st and 2nd grade), substitute teaching (K-6), observations, tutoring, and volunteer work in various classrooms.
I feel highly qualified to provide an exceptional education to all elementary age students!

I have spent the entire school year (2007-2008) working with 1st and 2nd graders. A main focus in both classrooms I worked in was phonics. I am familiar with various phonics programs and have implemented these programs in the classroom. Phonics is an essential component of reading and I feel it is a necessity for success. I have been successfully planning and teaching phonics lessons in my current student teaching placement for over two months now.
