About Yvette:

I am a certified NYS teacher grades 1 - 6 and have two children of my own. I work closely with both children and parents in order to determine the specific needs of the student whom I am tutoring. All of my lessons are designed to teach students how to be critical thinkers and lifelong learners. I love to read, and I love teaching children how to enjoy reading too! I have a business degree from Fordham University and a Masters Degree in childhood education from Mercy College. I have been working as an elementary school teaching assistant for 3 years and as a second grade teacher for a year. My strength comes from recognizing students learning styles and creating lessons suited to their specific style of learning. I tutor all academic subject areas.
