My name is Mike, and I am available to lend any assistance I can for students who need help in English.
English studies tend to focus on two areas -- grammar and literature. I feel like I could help in both areas. Grammar-wise, I can use my experience as a writer and copy editor to help you not only clean up the things you write, but to understand what makes an ok paper or short story a good one.
In the way of literature, I can draw upon my experience as an English major at Georgetown University to help you recognize themes and subtexts in writing and also show you why the book is always better than the movie!
As of right now, my tutoring experience has been limited to helping friends, but as they have all been very thankful for my help (at least they say they are), I'm hoping I can translate that into helping you as well.
