About Elina:

I’m a very outgoing and enthusiastic person. Sharing my knowledge of the Russian language and culture is a genuine pleasure for me. My industrial and managerial background will benefit people involved in international projects with Russian companies.

I’m available both for beginning programs and more advanced individual programs with a variety of professional or technical terminologies. My wide range of experience includes giving lessons in intermediate English to Russian children and teaching basic Russian here in America. Working in an international engineering enterprise, I previously translated technical manuals and contract papers into Russian.

Until 2006 I lived in Ukraine, speaking only Russian and some Ukrainian. Having extensive experience in sales management and heating engineering, I’ve never ceased expanding my sphere of interests in literary and cultural subjects. My poetry book (the 1st reward of an international contest) and literary pieces, published in a few leading metropolitan magazines in Russia and Ukraine, attests to the quality of my language skills.

Although my experience was in Ukraine, I now live in Texas and speak fluent English. After completing Level 6 of 6 Level Languages Program (Intensive English) in Rice University, I’ve been recognized by the National Dean’s List 2007. The past year I’ve also been translating some English poetry into Russian.
