You've already taken a great first step by seeking out a tutor. You have the potential to succeed, and I can help make it happen. Hi, I'm Scott and I've been a tutor, teacher, and trainer since 1997. I graduated from Westford Academy in 1998, Tufts University in 2002 with my B.S. and then again in 2005 with my M.S. Throughout high school, college, and graduate school I tutored and taught students how to succeed in a variety of academic subjects. I know that some classes, especially math and science subjects, can be difficult. Having taught science classes in graduate school and as a high school Biology teacher, I know where students encounter stumbling blocks, and I can help you overcome them. Because I have worked as both a teacher and as a tutor, I have an edge over other tutors. Having written lesson plans and having worked in the Massachusetts public school system, I can help determine what a teacher wants from you for assignments and I can provide techniques that will help you meet those expectations. I am happy to be a resource that can provide the one on one attention that will help you through the rough spots and help you to understand the academic concepts that you need to succeed. I am very flexible in my approach to tutoring and will work with you to achieve whatever goals you are hoping to get from the tutoring experience.
