About Rachel:

I spent the last four years as a chemist in a petroleum and alternative fuels lab. While there, I revamped the training program for all the instruments and equipment, developed reports and graphs in excel, as well as analyze fuel. Prior to that I held positions as a laboratory technician in a cosmetic lab and in a quality control lab of an ethanol distillery. While in college I conducted undergraduate field research on an endangered species of ornate box turtles. Also, I played on the varsity soccer team for 4 years and held the leadership position of captain for 2 years. I also spend a year as an environmental education intern for a private nature center. Because I have been on both sides of the educational spectrum, as trainer and trainee, in my professional and personal endeavors, I have a broader perspective on the learning process.
