ESL/ESOL I am a young, energetic and creative individual with patience and a passion for helping others. As a student myself, I understand that each individual learns differently, which is why I will devote myself to finding the best way to help my pupils reach their goals. I have been a Graduate Student at Queen's College for the last year, and I am working towards a Master's Degree in TESOL. I am a student of both linguistics and of pedagogy. I study not only the most current and most effective methods of second language instruction, but also the theories behind second language acquisition, which better equips me to implement successful strategies for my pupils to follow. Part of my ongoing education is the extensive observation of NY state-certified ESL teachers in our schools and universities, during which time I am exposed to a diverse range of teaching methods catering to a wide range of second language proficiencies. Therefore I am immersed in a language learning environment each day. I have tutored children privately in grades K-3 in the past but I am prepared to tutor any age.
