About
Stephanie: |
|
Hello! My name is Stephanie and I’m here to help you or your child learn. Thanks for visiting my profile!
As far as my own scholastic merits are concerned, I graduated Antioch High School as a distinguished scholar in 1997 with a 3.8 GPA. While in high school I was in the Honors Program and took a wide variety of Advanced Placement classes including AP American History, AP English, Advanced Vocabulary, and AP Calculus. I won awards for German, Math, Science, Writing, and Psychology. I was also on the Academic Olympics team was voted “Most Intellectual” my senior year in high school. Following graduation, I attended Middle Tennessee State University where I studied Psychology for 2 years, followed by Nashville State Technical College where I graduated Summa Cum Laude (4.0 GPA) earning a degree in Web Development in 2006. In short, I know what it takes to succeed scholastically and would love to help you or your child in reaching desired goals.
Although my primary passion is Web Design and Development, I have several other areas of interest that would be helpful in your tutoring experience. I am extremely organized and I’m an expert at both utilizing and teaching study skills. My background in Psychology also allows me to have the ability assess your needs and come up with a proven plan to help you learn in a fun, yet studious environment. Scholastically, I’m a “Jane of All Trades” and can help with just about any subject including English, Science, and Math. I have experience tutoring people of all ages and experience levels, from homeschooled teenagers to elementary school children and even adults. My approach to tutoring is simple: make the experience fun and most importantly hands-on. People have a tendency to really absorb material when they can somehow relate to the subject their learning, and that’s where we can come together and make some progress!
