general computer I have been working with computers since 1979 and began programming in 1980. I have enjoyed teaching computers since 1991 and started my own business as the Computer Tutor in 1992. I started my business to teach children how to use computers and using educational programs to enhance their academic skills. Over time, I began to teach their parents and grandparents and found that one to one tutoring the best kind of teaching making it possible for me to gear my teaching to the precise needs of the student. As a visual aid to a presenter, it helps keep the speaker on track and can add a level of entertainment to the subject. I've seen a dramatic increase in the use of PowerPoint in the classroom and the boardroom in the past few years both as a tool for academics and for business.
