About Carla:

I graduated from St. Olaf College in Northfield, MN with a double major in English and Latin. I also studied Spanish and Italian in college, and have a deep love for all things related to language. My studies in English and Latin have endowed me with excellent command of the English language and the complexities of its grammar and vocabulary. I would love to help students of all ages to improve their ability to write and read effectively. I currently teach at Regina Catholic School in Iowa City, which has given me insight into methods for teaching younger children. My command of Latin roots would also be a valuable asset to older students preparing for the verbal portion of the ACT and SAT exams. I am organized, patient, and genuinely love teaching the subjects for which I have a passion. I look forward to working with you!
