A certified teacher now working as an administrator, yet wanting to stay true to teaching roots. Experienced in Language Arts, Social Studies, Spanish, and ESL as well as sports. Will make learning fun and easier, but willing to push you to make the learning last longer than tomorrow's test. Most of my experience is at the middle school level. I'm known as a personable, creative, goal-oriented teacher who makes class exciting and holds kids accountable. As an administrator with many hours of teacher observation, I know what works and what doesn't and how to best fill in the learning gaps you might be feeling frustrated over. I'm willing to travel and make schedules work. Let me help you succeed in school! |

football
My football experience began as a ball boy for my father's high school football team and took off from there. As a prep player I excelled on both sides of the ball, as a tight end and linebacker, as well as a quarterback. I played semi-pro football as a tight end and began coaching around the same time. My coaching expertise is with middle school athletes, having coached for eight years at the 7th and 8th grade level in Oregon. I am a skilled coach for all positions at this level, with a focus on fundamentals and the combination of athleticism and becoming a student of the game. Form tackling, blocking techniques, passing, catching, footwork, and field vision are all a part of the game and my knowledge of these essentials make me a solid coaching candidate for your emerging player.

study skills
I am a middle school vice principal and former teacher of Language Arts, Social Studies, ESL, and Spanish. My experience in working with kids who've struggled with the essentials of organization, note-taking, homework, or prioritizing the most essential learnings is what sets me apart from other tutors. Whether it's working on IEP goals, preparing for high school, or simply raising overall performance, my background and resources can provide the help your student needs.

track & field
My expertise in track & field is in the throwing events. In high school I was one of only three people in school history to place at the District Championship Meet in all three events (javelin, discus, and shot put) and won the hammer throw in an invitational meet that year as well. From there I went on to coach at both the high school and middle school level, training state meet placers in all three events. I am skilled in throwing drills, video analysis, indoor practice, and footwork. Let me know what event(s) you'd like to focus on and I'm your guy. Willing to conduct sessions outdoors or at an indoor facility as weather deems necessary. Feel free to contact me via Wyzant.com for more details.
