About Rachel:

My extensive "real world" experience has given me excellent skills in writing, reading, research and studying which I can pass on to students. I have a background instructing children and adults which provides me with confidence and ease developing a successful relationship with tutees. I have a passion for learning and developing young minds, combined with a dynamic, energetic personality and intellectual authority. In addition, I'm highly creative and can think "out of the box to make learning fun." I can become not only a respected teacher but a trusted mentor who engages and motivates students to reach their highest potential. My specific tutoring experience includes teaching/tutoring disabled youth and adults in Spanish, Science and GED. I also tutored a high school student in Spanish which resulted in successful passage of his Regents Exam. I am registered as a Substitute Teacher with Huntington Public Schools.
