ACT I took the ACT test when I was a sophmore in high school, and I scored a 30 out of 36. I would be very interested in helping students achieve a high score on this test, as it is very important for college admissions. elementary (k-6th) I am majoring in Elementary Education and plan on teaching 2nd or 3rd grade. I am also thinking about teaching gifted students. I am attending classes at my University, and learning more each day about teaching students. I have had volunteer experience wtih chidlren as young as preschool, and up to 4th grade. I have field experience logged in working with 1st and 2nd graders. All elementary subjects appeal to me. GED I took the GED test my senior year of high school. I was a self-taught homeschool student for my last two years of high school, and took the test as a way of assessing my learning for college applications. I scored in the 99th percentile on the test. I would be very interested to help students of all ages pass this test. It can be a very important turning point in many people's lives. grammar I am constantly correcting those around me when they use wrong grammar. A pet peeve of mine is when people use the wrong form of "their, they're, and there." Grammar is very important and many teachers don't spend enough time teaching this subject in class. study skills Study skills are very important to learn. You will be using them throughout your school career and beyond. Many students don't ever learn that there is a correct way to study that will better your grades. I'm here to show students taht there is, and promote good studying.
