I am a pedagogical coordinator and instructor at a small ESL (English as a Second Language) School in Philadelphia. I am looking to earn some extra money and meet new and exciting people from different cultures. I have experience with one on one tutoring, small group tutoring, teaching and lecturing.
My experience includes working with college students, students studying for the TOEFL and students who have reading, writing or other difficulties in their primary language.
My approach is to work with students to formulate language goals, a reasonable time line to develop those goals and then give the students the tools and confidence to be successful in English in their every day life.
My experience includes working with native Portuguese, Spanish, Russian, Ukrainian, Korean, Japanese and Haitian speakers. |

I am currently an ESL instructor and Pedagogical Coordinator for a ESL school in Philadelphia. Have three years experience teaching and tutoring ESL to a diverse group of students. I have worked with students who have extensive educational backgrounds, students who have literacy problems in their primary language and refugees. In addition to ESL I have taught basic adult literacy, computer skills and civics for the US citizenship test. I have over seven years of teaching and training experience and enjoy working with adult students.
