About Victoria:

Hi! I'm a graduate student in Education studying to be a teacher someday! My undergrad degree was in Economics (I used to hate it, but now I love it!), and I can speak French semi-fluently (I got chased down the street in Paris by other tourists.. true story). I've played violin and piano for more than 10 years each, and I used to be the Opinion Editor for my high school newspaper. I'm a complete grammar queen and spelling sergeant, so my friends are always asking me to proofread their essays. I love to write humorous blog entries about unusual incidents in my life (ever had someone try to microwave your teddy bear?).

economics

I majored in Economics in my undergraduate studies. I passed Intro and Intermediate Micro and Macroeconomics, Health Economics, Industrial Organization & Policy, Wealth & Debt, Computer Applications in Economics, History of Economic Thought and probably another class that I'm forgetting about, all with a B or better.

elementary (k-6th)

I am currently studying to be an elementary school teacher (receiving my multiple subject credential in Spring 2009). I have worked with elementary school kids as a tutor and reading supervisor.

piano

I played piano for over 10 years and passed the Certificate of Merit test up to the advanced level (including a perfect score on the theory exam). I have been involved in piano competitions and National Guild. I also have perfect pitch :)

violin

I played violin for 10 years and have perfect pitch. I was the concertmaster of the Pacific Symphony Youth Orchestra for two years straight. My quartet played at numerous interesting gigs, including one for Yo Yo Ma.
