elementary (k-6th) I am certified in Pennsyvania as an Elementary Teacher. My passion lies in teaching and nothing is more rewarding than seeing the lightbulb go on when a student "gets" what you are teaching. I enjoy sharing my experience and knowledge to bring students to the point where they begin to desire success. I can tutor any elementary subjects but my specialties are reading, writing, and science. I believe in empowering a student to learn, therefore making lessons interactive and fun. I think this is the most effective way to get a student interested in school and learning. I have experience working with students who are challenged in one way or the other. I see this as a personal challenge for me. I am looking forward to leading you to your dreams and success. study skills A valuable part of education is the process of evaluation. Some students are skilled at preparing for and taking quizzes and tests. I have found in my experience that many are not. Learning how to take notes, organize information, and then not to overlaod your brain are valuable lessons towards becoming a sucessful "test taker." I have trained students in the use of graphic organizers to save time when taking notes and then using them as a review tool. Effective study skills are essential for success in any educational program. I have experience working with children and adults.
