Since my younger years of demanding my sister be the student and I the teacher, education has been my passion. I thrive from seeing the light bulb go on when a student "gets" what I am teaching. I have a strong background in the medical field, which combined with my degree in education has lead to successful employment as a Certified Healthcare Educator. I love being a facilitator in the classroom. I am always looking for a new way to present the same information. I feel that you have to excite students about learning, otherwise it is "just" school. I am presently working on my Masters degree in Business Administration, which will broaden my experience. My teaching style is very interactive. I think you have to get the students involved to maintain their interest. I am very interested in working with students to improve their chance of success in their classes.

Learning how to take notes, organize information, and then not to overlaod your brain are valuable lessons towards becoming a sucessful "test taker." I have trained students in the use of graphic organizers to save time when taking notes and then using them as a review tool. Effective study skills are essential for success in any educational program. I have experience working with children and adults.
