I received my Masters of Music degree from the Juilliard School and my Bachelor of Music Degree from the University of Michigan with high honors. I was the concerto competition winner of University of Michigan as well as "best violinist of the year" award recipient at U of M. I have won numerous competitions and performed with several orchestras in United States and Taiwan. During the summers, I have been invited to perform in many music festivals including Aspen, Chautauqua Institution of Music, Music Academy of the West, Pacific Music Festival(Sapporo, Japan), and Tanglewood Music Center. I teach students from beginner to advanced as well as children and adults. I primarily teach in New York City and Princeton, NJ.

• ear training

  I have been professionally trained with ear training since I was five. I was trained with the authentic solfege system and very experienced and skilled with sight singing. I personally have perfect pitch. But I also train my students well who have relative pitch instead of perfect pitch. I have received my ear training education through the best music school in Taiwan as well as the Juilliard Pre-College, University of Michigan, as well as the Juilliard School where I studied for my masters.

• music theory

  I have been professionally trained with music theorysince I was six. I very experienced and skilled with teaching music theory from beginners(such as intervals, chords, key signatures...etc) to advanced level(such as key harmonic progression, analyzing a piece). I have received my music theory education through the best music school in Taiwan as well as the Juilliard Pre-College, University of Michigan, as well as the Juilliard School where I studied for my masters.

• violin

  I have been teaching violin for seven years and my students have been doing great. My high school level students are frequently placed in regional and all-state orchestras. My younger age students have won different prizes in young musician competitions as well as serving as concertmaster in Philadelphia Young Youth Orchestra. On the side, I also have profound chamber music and orchestral playing experience with many professional group in tri-state areas that enhances me to teach great musical ideas to my students. My students are commented by the competition judges to be "extremely musical and mature playing at such young age." I look forward to working with students who is eager to learn and improve.
