I was always an excellent student and have also had a desire to teach and help others excel, although I never went into teaching. I am a C.P.A. by background and possess both an Undergraduate Degree in Accounting and an M.B.A. in Accounting. In addition, I love writing and history, and always got A's in these subjects as well.
Equally as important, I'm very patient and understanding of what people are looking to achieve from a tutor. I have not had formal tutoring experience, just helping friends and young students along the way. I volunteer in my son's class in elementary school, and have found that very rewarding. Over the years, I also helped nieces and nephews with their studies, and each of them are grown now, out of college, and doing very well.
I do know that school, at any level, can be intimidating and difficult at times and, one on-one assistance can really help ease that process and lead to academic success.
